Meet Scott
Scott Orr, Founder and CEO of EMBARK
I was raised in a small South Texas town as part of a large family, where my faith foundation was established, respect for others was ingrained, and an extraordinary work ethic was formed. These early experiences shaped my approach to leadership and life.
I left South Texas and earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. My 33-year career began in Houston where my wife Beth and I settled to raise a family.
I developed a leadership mission to create workplaces where people are valued, challenged, engaged, and empowered. I discovered a passion and a gift for fostering environments where both the people and the business thrive. Driven by a desire to make a bigger impact on people and organizations, I stepped away from my career in the energy industry and founded EMBARK.
I have incorporated the mantra “Be Intentional” into how I live and how I lead others, believing every sunrise is a new opportunity to use what we learned yesterday to make a positive impact today. I believe that purpose-driven leadership can transform businesses and enhance the lives of the people they serve.

EMBARK emerged from my decades of leadership experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry, where I’ve witnessed firsthand the complexities leaders face. Over time, I discovered that true success is best achieved by aligning strengths, values, and passions with purposeful action in order to reach business objectives. My personal and professional growth, guided by my faith, has led me to this realization and ultimately to the creation of EMBARK.
I founded EMBARK to help leaders navigate their challenges with clarity, intention, and purpose. The goal is to empower individuals and organizations to align their actions with their core values, fostering environments of respect, authenticity, and collaboration. While rooted in my experience within the energy sector, the principles of intentional leadership are applicable across industries.
I want to partner with leaders who are ready to embrace change, grow themselves and their teams, and make a lasting impact. Grounded by faith and a commitment to helping others succeed, EMBARK is more than a consulting service—it’s a journey of transformation, purpose, and alignment for leaders and organizations alike.
